Why are we called to be Fools for Christ?

Being foolish in biblical terms might not seem like the right way to go. A quick glance at the parables that Jesus told and it was always the fool who got it in the neck. The wise men built his house on the rock and lived happily ever after. The foolish man built his house on the sand and faced a rising damp problem on a dramatic scale.

However in Matthew 18:3, Jesus reminds us that "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Even Paul, that ever-so serious apostle, picks up the theme in 1 Corinthians 4:10 reminding us that we are all Fools for Christ. The foolishness of God is the wisdom of man. It may sound a little upside down or topsy-turvy, but a little foolishness is a great way of getting across a serious message.

Sometime between 1st and 6th January every year is also traditionally the time when the Feast Of Fools was celebrated. Find out more.

So welcome to the Fools4Christ. We hope you find something to stimulate the grey matter into making Christianity the religion that mixes a serious message with a heavy dose of fun. If you've got any ideas you'd like to share, then why not get in touch.

Of course we're no the only fools out there. Here are some other fools to visit:
